London Court

Perth hotels

Within the modern city scape of Perth City is a little piece of history that is a place to be explored. London court is set in between St Georges Terrace and Hay Street Mall and is a step back into the past and gives you access to some of the most wonderful food and shopping options in the Perth City Centre.

London Court

Built in Perth in 1937, London Court is a small pedestrian walkway that used to be a street in the old Perth city. Now it is a retail and dining location which is often packed full of top level executives enjoying their lunch breaks or entertaining clients. When you walk through the extravagant gates it feels almost like you are in the Tudor style buildings of Historic London City, all the way on the other side of the world.

At each end of London Court there are two large clocks. At the Hay street ends there are four small knights above the clock which circle around together when the clock strikes at 15 minute intervals. At the St Georges Terrace gateway there is a beautiful dragon. Both Clocks are exact replicas of The Great Clock of Rouen in France.

When wandering through the pathway pay close attention, there are many fine details that can be easily missed. There are statues of Dick Whittington and Sir Walter Raleigh, spectacular intricate window vanes, moldings and narrow stairways which take you up high to get a different view of the spectacular London Court.

Address: Between Hay Street Mall and St Georges Terrace Perth.
