For the true beach culture that makes Perth so famous internationally, you can't miss an opportunity to visit Scarborough Beach. A veritable stomping ground for local teenagers strutting their stuff along the blinding white sand as the best surfers in the area cut up the beautiful waves that cleanly through the sapphire ocean.

Scarborough beach is truly the best beach hang out for young people and families in Perth. With regular swell and very impressive surf breaks, surfers come from all around the world to surf at this popular beach. But it's not only surfers enjoying what Scarborough Beach has to offer, with the conditions always changing the water is also popular with body boarders, swimmers and kite surfers.

Excellent lifesavers are on hand at all times, keeping an eye on your safety. So ensure when swimming you stay within the red and yellow flags as the rips can be quite strong at times.

During the summer time the impressive beach amphitheater hosts beach sporting events which include professional and amateur beach cricket and volleyball, that come with a fun beach festival atmosphere in tow.

At night Scarborough beach comes to life with parties, night clubs and restaurants drawing in young couples, party goers and families from all around the city. If you are looking for a bite to eat there is everything here from kebabs to fine dining and bars which offer delicious snacks along with live music, good beer and a friendly crowd.

For something a little more family friendly the beautiful park area backing right onto the white sand it a great place to enjoy a barbeque or picnic with family and friends whilst soaking up the super relaxed beach vibe.
