For a great adventure that only takes a day, there is heaps of options right from Perth City. Perth day trips are amazing as there are so many diverse places to visit that are a short trip from the city centre.

The John Forrest National Park is a beautiful place to go for an explore, a hike or take the kids to see some of the most beautiful bush land a mere one hour from Perth City. With spectacular trees, awe inspiring rock formations and lovely waterfalls it is a beautiful part of the outer city hills that really is sure to impress. There are picnic facilities and public restrooms to ensure your comfort as well as some impressive walking trails which if you tread quietly you might be lucky enough to spot some of the local wildlife. There is also a local hotel where you can dine indoors or outdoors right in the National Park.

For another nature track that has impressed people for generations and is without out a doubt one of the world’s best walking tracks, the Bibbulmun track is sure to impress. Only 30 minutes South of Perth the track begins and you can choose to walk as far as you like. Many people go for the weekend and take the time to really explore the spectacular wildlife. There is a great walking track that takes one day, round trip and ensures you will be back in the city in time for your evening plans.

For one of Western Australia’s most impressive attractions, take a day tour to the Pinnacles. Three and a half million years ago this amazing geological phenomenon’s started to form. You can take a tour to the red desert home of these spectacular natural wonders and be back in Perth for dinner.

Take a drive north of Perth along the Swan Coastal Plain to experience true Australian farm life right on the coast. From the spectacular little town of Lancelin to the undulating landscape of bush land and white sand dunes to the coastal vistas you are sure to see more than you bargained for. Take a packed lunch and picnic on the beach, or stop at one of the numerous cafes and eateries along the way and sample some of the finest local snacks.

For a day of pure luxury, take a Margaret River day tour with a stop off in Busselton on the way. Margaret River is home to Western Australia’s best surf, wine and coastline which boasts amazing sites every step of the way. Take divine pleasure in a leisurely lunch at one of the many top class wineries and stop by the beach on the way back to the city. It’s a long drive, but if you’re stuck for time and can’t stay in the area, it’s definitely worth it.
